We are thrilled to announce Ashley Johnson as the new principal of West Minico Middle School for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year! With 12 years of experience teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grades mostly at Paul Elementary, and 8 years as the Director of Student Achievement for the Minidoka County School District, Ms. Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our school. She holds a Master's in Educational Leadership and an Education Specialist degree. Ms. Johnson loves learning and is excited to come back home to be a Warrior. She looks forward to an amazing year ahead with our students, staff, and community.

We are thrilled to announce Tamara Carter as the new assistant principal of West Minico Middle School! Tamara brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our school, with an extensive background in education. She has just finished her third year as the assistant principal at Rupert Elementary and is excited to return to her roots at the middle school level.
Tamara has a rich teaching history, including many years in special education at the Total Learning Center and East Minico, as well as teaching various subjects in the 6th grade. She is passionate about learning and education and is currently pursuing her Education Specialist degree at Boise State University. Tamara looks forward to sharing her love of learning with the students and staff at West Minico.

We are beaming with pride over our West Minico 7th graders, they won the schoolwide ISAT testing contest, with a sweep in all categories. Math and ELA, highest proficiency and most growth. 6th graders were on their heels, so we are confident the future is looking bright!!
