Meningitis Booster Clinic by South Central Public Health for 11th & 12th grade students. Friday Oct. 13th 10am-12pm at the Minico High School Library. If under 18, a guardian must be present to sign permission or be available to verify over the phone. You may get a copy from your school secretary and fill out the clinic form ahead of time. This vaccine may also be obtained from your own health care provider or pharmacy. The vaccine is required for all 12th grade students. If exemption is preferred, request a form from your school secretary. See immunize.org for more information on the vaccine.

School Vaccine Requirements

"Children must meet immunization requirements as state in Idaho law to attend school. To meet legal requirements, a record with evidence that children are up-to-date on their immunizations or a valid immunization exemption must be provided and kept on file at the school." - Idaho School Immunization Guide

Vaccines due before Kindergarten: 5 DTap, 2 MMR, 4 Polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 Varicella, 2 Hepatitis A

Vaccines due before 7th Grade: TDap Booster, 1st Meningitis ACYW

Vaccine due before 12th Grade: Meningitis ACYW Booster

School nurses and secretaries must report to the state of Idaho by Nov. 1st each year the percentage of students who are compliant with the vaccine requirements. We will be in contact with families whose students are not yet compliant. Either a record of the vaccine must be handed in to the school, or a signed and filled out exemption form by mid-October so the report may be submitted accurately.
