Q&A:
Do you have to get these shots done at a school/South Central clinic? No, you can schedule with your own health care provider, or walk in to most pharmacies. These clinics are organized for your convenience. Wherever you do go, remember to get documentation to turn in to the secretary.
Can I exempt my child from receiving these vaccines? Yes, you can request an exemption form from school. Search "Idaho.gov school immunizations" online for full requirement/exemption info.
Can my child really be excluded from school for not complying with vaccine requirements? Yes, if you don't provide a record of your child having received the required vaccines OR provide a signed exemption form. Either a record of vaccines or an exemption form is due before your kindergarten, 7th grade, or 12th grade student begins the school year. A student who is not vaccinated against certain diseases could be excluded from school if an outbreak of that disease occurred and there was no record of their vaccination.
**Save yourself time at the clinic by filling out a vaccine form ahead of time**
