As the governing body of the school district, the school board oversees policies, budgetary decisions, and strategic planning to promote educational excellence. The school board establishes policies that guide the day-to-day operations of the school district, while also having the responsibility of appointing the District Superintendent,

The Board is comprised of five citizens, each representing a different geographic region of the district. They receive no salaries or benefits and are elected to a four-year term.
